Dr. Bruce Lo, MD, MBA, is the Chief of Emergency Medicine at Sentara Norfolk General Hospital and a Professor of Emergency Medicine at Eastern Virginia Medical School (EVMS). With over 16 years of leadership within the Sentara Health System, Dr. Lo is recognized for his efforts in standardizing emergency medical protocols, particularly in managing acute psychiatric emergencies. He serves on numerous national committees, including the ACEP Academic Affairs Committee and the American Academy of Emergency Medicine (AAEM) Board, where he currently serves as a Board Member. Dr. Lo has received multiple accolades for his contributions to emergency medicine education and practice, such as the ACEP National Teaching Award, the CORD Distinguished Educator Award, and the VACEP Medical Director of the Year Award.
